As you progress through your rotations acquiring skills and experience, you need to check you are also acquiring sub-specialty experience in time for your CCT. For Lung Transplantation the requirements are:
- attend teaching programme/course
- 2 outpatient clinics in specialist/satellite clinic
- CbD

This year there are two courses that will get you the necessary knowledge related to Lung Transplantation, in advance of a placement.
- The RSM has now released details of the Update on Lung Transplantation Day they are running on 8th June, and you can now book. Early bird rates (£80 for non-members) end on 9th May. The day is organised by Dr Michael Beckles, Consultant in Respiratory Medicine and General Physician, Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
- The alternative is to book onto the BTS course, which in on 22nd September. £195 for BTS members. The day is organised by Professor Andrew Fisher from the Institute of Transplantation, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne.
